So this is the first music-y post I’ve ever uploaded to Tumblr.

I’ve been working with my new Line 6 DL4 Delay/Looper for the past few days. I really think this pedal has INCREDIBLE potential for me.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

I am the MOST low budget you can be while still living under a/any roof. This clip was edited in Audacity aka with free software.

Played through a Squire Strat I got 8 or 9 years ago.

Then through the DL4 (costs more than my amp)

Then through my brand new Fender Mustang (see my post here)

Then recorded with the USB mic you get with Rock Band for Xbox 360

Then smushed through Audacity.

And onto your Dashboard.

Everything you hear is improv. Whether it was improv’d into the loop (which I prerecorded moments before) or improved live as I was recording (the little bluesy bits you hear and a couple wrong notes)

Towards the end I began just pushing buttons to show off the DL4’s time-fucks.

I record first a bass line, then I slow the bass line (sounds like I’m playing a real bass imo) and begin to layer guitar parts over. That’s why it sounds ridiculous sped up.
